By around 6 a.m., TikTok seemingly had resolved the issue, but didn’t post anything about the outage on any of their social media pages.

TikTok users flooded X with posts lamenting the outage, with users flocking to the social media platform to confirm that TikTok was down.

“Everybody on their way to twitter after tiktok went down,” said one person who posted a sped-up video of people going down an escalator.

“Me frantically running to twitter to search ‘TikTok down' after turning my WiFi off and it’s still not working,” another user said.

Another user said: “my TikTok isn’t working and first thing I do I switch to X to look up if others are having the same issue and sure enough they are.”

“TikTok is down and I lowkey thought they went ahead and banned it again without warning.”

On DownDetector, users also complained about the outage, while others expressed that it was working again.

“I mean, it's back, but it keeps having weird issues, like comments not loading on any video except ads.”

According to many users, TikTok said that there was a problem with their internet connection.
