A company has designed a practical hat that uses solar power to charge a smartphone battery in three to four hours.
There are various ways to charge your smartphone with sun-generated energy at home. For example, you could install solar panels on a rooftop or buy portable solar batteries.
However, a growing number of solutions have recently emerged that allow you to charge your device on the go. These mainly include backpacks with solar panels and various hats.
EcoFlow, a company that specializes in solar battery systems, has launched a more “high-end” solar hat that enables you to harness sun energy and power up your device while you walk.
The firm says that the hat, which is equipped with solar panels, is made from ultralight material and weighs 370 grams, though it is still two to three times heavier than the standard sun hat.
EcoFlow claims that it has a capacity of around 12 watts and can charge a standard smartphone battery of 4000 mAh in three to four hours. The hat has USB-a/usb-c ports, allowing it to charge two devices simultaneously.
The headgear comes in two sizes and is IP 65 water- and dust-resistant, meaning it can be used in light rain.
EcoFlow is taking preorders during August and plans to start shipping the hat in September. At the moment of writing, the price of the hat is $79.
EcoFlow has launched the EcoFlow Power Hat, an innovative product for charging devices on the go.
