OpenAI expected to launch game-changing search feature

OpenAI is expected to announce its AI-powered search product on May 13th.

OpenAI’s new release should work as an extension of ChatGPT. It will enable the AI-powered tool to quickly search the web and provide users with more accurate information, inducing citations and found sources, reports Bloomberg (via Reuters).

With this extension, ChatGPT should be able to tackle its ongoing problem of not being able to provide answers based on real-time information.

OpenAI’s future product is already being considered as a competitor to Alphabet’s Google and Perplexity AI search engines.

The new search product should be announced the day before Google I/O 2024, the company’s biggest developer conference, which is set to take place on May 14th.
