As a variety of whistleblowers and politicians took to Capitol Hill in Washington DC this week to make various speeches and statements about UFO disclosure, the reaction was startling right across the board.
Journalist Chris Cuomo's immediate reaction was blunt. "What the f__ just happened?" he asked when examining David Grusch and his “teflon pedigree.”
Teflon is a type of plastic which has incredible non-stick properties and here Cuomo is pointing to Grusch’s untarnished reputation as a UFO whistleblower.
Rather than attacking Grusch’s claim that the US government is in the know of multiple extraterrestrials, Cuomo was more concerned with that "nobody attacks Grusch's credibility, nobody calls him crazy or debunks him."
He then posed the question disclosure supporters have repeated for years: "If he's wrong, why isn't anyone coming out and saying it?"
His reaction showed a growing problem throughout the community of being able to verify statements of whistleblowers, and of the media in struggling a clear semblance of what continues to be deeply mysterious.
Chris Cuomo is stunned after hearing Grusch's claims about NHI - "WTF just happened?". Says he has no idea what to do with this info or how to report on it, he says nobody attacks Grusch's credibility, nobody calls him crazy or debunks him - "If he's wrong, why isn't anyone coming out and saying it?

"Show the evidence" skepticism
Ancient Aliens host Giorgio Tsoukalos called out for greater evidence from the claims made on Capitol Hill, by posting on X "SHOW THE EVIDENCE or shut up already."
He also mocked participants for presenting what he called "verbal diarrhea of 'irrefutable evidence' without any receipts."
Tsoukalos’ post brazenly claimed that the spokespeople including Grusch, Congressmen Eric Burlison and Tim Burchett, representative Anna Paulina Luna, and filmmaker James Fox are intentionally “muddying the waters “.
He claimed that "none of the folks today on that stage actually take this topic seriously nor want disclosure."
Tsoukalos also drew attention to the fact that this disinformation campaign stretches right back to the 1940’s and seems to in growing frustration demanding documentary proof before accepting extraordinary claims.
SHOW THE EVIDENCE or shut up already. What is this verbal diarrhea of undefinedirrefutable evidenceundefined WITHOUT any receipts? What IS that? NONE of the folks today on that stage actually take this topic serious, nor want Disclosure, so much is clear. Instead, with your horse and pony show…

Matt Ford fires back
Good Trouble Show host Matt Ford responded directly to Tsoukalos, turning the debate from evidence to whistleblower accountability and sacrifice.
Ford opened his rebuttal by joking that "the receipts police showed up to the disclosure movement this week."
He accused Tsoukalos of misrepresenting what was actually said on the Capitol steps, arguing that nobody claimed to possess "irrefutable evidence."
Ford's central argument was that demands to publicly release evidence ignore the legal restrictions surrounding classified information.

As Ford put it, "Grusch cannot post classified documents to X." He emphasized that Grusch's allegations were delivered under oath and noted that "every central claim David Grusch has made was made under penalty of perjury."
Ford also highlighted the personal toll faced by whistleblowers, pointing to lost careers, security clearances, pensions, and strained family relationships.
He concluded with a direct challenge to Tsoukalos by mockingly inviting him to "bring your receipts. We hear they matter a lot to you."
