However, I must note that InterServer doesn't include a domain in its cPanel plan. This isn't a big deal, since it prices its domain at $7.99/year, raising the overall price to $2.95/month, which is still one of the cheapest deals on my list.
My overall experience with InterServer – good 4/5
When testing InterServer, my life was pretty easy – in fact, the hardest part was simply finding the cPanel hosting when trying to register for my plan. Once I had that figured out, using InterServer was very simple. Everything I needed from a hosting provider was just one click away from the main dashboard.
Unfortunately, InterServer hit a small snag during my performance tests. It failed the stress test under higher loads. This shouldn't be an issue for smaller websites but can start being troublesome with around 25,000 monthly visitors. That said, InterServer also managed 100% uptime during the 2-week-long test and a decent page load speed of 2.116s.
InterServer is a great pick for people looking for a budget-friendly cPanel host that won't break the bank. However, if you're running a bigger website, you may want to choose a provider like hosting.com or Bluehost.

My overall experience with InMotion Hosting – okay 3/5
When using InMotion, the first thing I noticed was that its version of cPanel is a bit more outdated than the others on this list. Despite this, it remained pretty intuitive, and I managed my hosting without any bigger issues. That said, I felt that if I were a bit less experienced in using cPanel, I could be in a bit of trouble.
InMotion didn't have any issues handling my stress and uptime tests, scoring 0% failure on the highest loads and 100% uptime throughout the 2-week test period. Additionally, InMotion showed excellent loading speeds, loading my website in 1.016s.
If you're looking for a fast and reliable host and don't mind a bit of a learning curve, InMotion is an excellent, and affordable choice.

ScalaHosting offers shared and VPS hosting with cPanel as an option on all its plans, although I must note that they are more expensive than ScalaHosting's base sPanel plans. It achieved excellent results during my performance tests. Unfortunately, its pricing isn't the best, and it lacks a few bonuses, making it fall short of hosting.com.

ScalaHosting offers 3 cPanel hosting plans. Here's a quick breakdown of what each one offers:
- Mini ($2.51/month). This plan offers 1 website and 10GB of NVMe SSD storage. It will work if you don't need too many resources and just need a simple website.
- Start ($6.95/month). It offers unlimited websites and 50GB of NVMe storage. This is a good all-around choice if you're planning on creating multiple websites that don't need too much storage.
- Advanced ($10.95/month). This plan has unlimited websites and 100GB of NVMe SSD storage. This one is great if you have a lot of resource-heavy projects.
Unfortunately, unlike most other hosting providers, ScalaHosting doesn't include a free domain on its Mini plan, increasing your costs by another couple of dollars. Luckily, the Start and Advanced plans feature domains.On the flip side, I really appreciate the provider's anytime money-back guarantee.
Finally, there's one thing I really disliked about the way ScalaHosting marketed its cPanel plan. When I googled "ScalaHosting cPanel," I was brought to a landing page that marketed it as "starting from $2.95/month." However, once I headed to the details screen and changed the panel from sPanel to cPanel, the price increased to $2.51/month.
ScalaHosting offers multiple server locations, with servers in North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. It provides a pretty simple but usable cPanel that took me some time to get used to. I must say that I'm a bit disappointed with the fact that some features, like CDN or the AI website builder, are reserved for ScalaHosting's proprietary sPanel and unavailable for cPanel.
Where ScalaHosting stood out during our tests was its performance-related features. With NVMe SSD hard drives storing your data and a large network server, ScalaHosting had excellent uptime and stress test performance in my tests, easily passing both without any failures. I wasn't quite as impressed with its speed test, which scored a very mediocre 5.583s. The result isn't great, but it can be explained by my ScalaHosting test server being located in Bulgaria while the test was conducted from the US.
I believe ScalaHosting is a great choice if you're looking to cater to users from outside of the US. It offers servers in Europe, Asia, and Australia, letting you pick your location.

As I tested GoDaddy, it delivered a solid 99.98% uptime and fast response times averaging 341ms, outperforming providers like ScalaHosting in consistency. The cPanel included all the essentials from file management to database tools and email setups. However, it lacked some of the advanced caching features offered by competitors like hosting.com.
cPanel is integrated nicely, but it lacks the advanced customization you’d find with rivals like hosting.com. The standout feature for me was its native dashboard – it simplified setup and management alongside cPanel.
On the downside, GoDaddy’s security features fall short unless you’re willing to pay extra. Tools like malware protection and advanced site backups require paid upgrades, which can add up. And that’s not exciting when the plans are quite costly already.

In order to find the best cPanel hosts, I needed to create an appropriate methodology. Here's what I did, step-by-step.
Step 1 – initial selection
I picked over 12 hosts that offer cPanel hosting. This was based on my 3 years of experience testing web hosts. However, I had to remove Hostinger from the list, as it switched from cPanel to its own proprietary solutions. I also removed HostGator and HostPapa after finding them less reliable than the other providers.
Step 2 – primary feature overview and list narrowing
