Tesla's Cybertruck will be a new combat vehicle on Fortnite

The contentious electric truck makes its debut in two of Epic Games' major titles - Fortnite and Rocket League.

Starting July 23rd, 2024, Fortnite and Rocket League players will be able to drive a Tesla Cybertruck virtually. Epic Games, the publisher of both games, announced in separate social media posts that they will be introducing Tesla's controversial truck into their games' environments.

The trailer shared on Fortnite's X profile features a strong fish, a tank, and a rival truck, all attempting to pull a Cybertruck backward but without success.

A post on Rocket League’s X profile showed a picture of a cyber truck with the message, “Drive the future. CYBERTRUCK—TOMORROW!”

Musk previously demonstrated the Cybertruck's durability by firing various machine guns at its sides, which now seems fitting for a vehicle being targeted by Fortnite players in the digital realm.

Since deliveries of the Cybertruck started late last year, the vehicle has been the subject of recalls and contraversy.

The most infamous Cybertruck moment occurred when Elon attempted to showcase the strength of its windows, only to shatter two of them immediately. The company had to recall thousands of Cybertrucks due to major design faults like faulty accelerator pedals.

Musk previously claimed that the Tesla Cybertruck would one day function as a boat, and one Cybertruck user in Slovakia instantly proved him wrong.

Another scenario that questions Musk’s claims about the durability of the EV showed that the Cybertruck isn’t “apocalypse proof,” as it’s seemingly no match for the Mongolian desert.

All while Cybertruck owners challenge their phalanges by trapping their fingers inside Tesla Cybertruck frunks.
