As for the web-based interface, it offers a few more options than sync-focused apps. Nonetheless, there’s no clutter here, with everything neatly tucked away in the left sidebar. Dragging and dropping files to upload is a breeze, and sharing these items is just a few clicks away, no matter what you’re doing.

That said, you might notice a few slowdowns after selecting files for upload, so there’s definitely some room for improvement here.

With all the data breaches going on, finding a cloud storage provider that’ll keep your personal files safe is crucial. It’s also something we’ve closely focused on, and this Internxt cloud storage security review section will break it all down.

On paper, Internxt checks all the right boxes. It’s secure, affordable, and comes with a bunch of freebies on top of cloud storage. But in reality, things aren’t as perfect as they seem, with customers leaving a fair share of negative feedback alongside praise.

Slow customer service seems to be the biggest problem here, with most comments centered around it. That said, there have been more than a few complaints regarding slow upload and download speeds, as well as block-level syncing and folder uploads.

Internxt cloud storage alternatives

While Internxt is an excellent choice for privacy-focused individuals and businesses, it could still use a few improvements, particularly in terms of speed and collaboration. Until it gets better at those, there are a few other options for users who prioritize these features.

pCloud is a notable competitor. It uses a similar zero-knowledge architecture, offers syncing and backups, and provides faster upload and download speeds. That said, encryption is a paid feature, and pCloud is also more expensive per gigabyte than Internxt.

Dropbox is another example, and one that you’ve definitely heard of before. Although not nearly as security-oriented as Internxt, it offers twice the storage in its free Basic plan, a well-built syncing app, and direct integrations with Google and Microsoft Office.

And if you’re already inside Microsoft’s ecosystem, using OneDrive also makes sense. It’s pre-built into every Windows machine, supports syncing and versioning, as well as file links and folder sharing, and comes with 5GB of cloud storage out of the box.

Final verdict: is Internxt cloud storage worth it?
