The tech giant has launched an X-like Trending section to let network users know about the most popular topics.
Adam Mosseri, the CEO of Instagram who’s also working on Meta’s Threads, announced the new feature on social media.
“We're rolling out the “trending now” feature widely to people in the US today – excited to offer an easy way to see what others are talking about on Threads. It’s available on the search page and in the For You Feed, so try it out and let us know what you think,” he posted on Threads.
The feature is currently available for US users only. Meta launched Threads last summer as an alternative to Elon Musk’s X. The platform’s launch in Europe was delayed for half a year due to strict EU privacy laws.
The trending section on Threads will look a lot like X’s Trends section, listing the most popular topics that people are posting about.
