Faster than a Formula 1 car: How fast is the world’s fastest drone?

This drone is faster but so much cheaper than a racecar.
The Guinness World Record for the world’s fastest drone is held by Benjamin Biggs, a DIY drone maker from Australia.
The man created a drone that can reach the speed of 626 km/h (389.24 mph).
The device managed to reach a speed of 655 km/h (407 mph). However, since this was done with the help of wind, it wasn’t recognized as the fastest self-propelled speed, reports Slash Gear.
In the video, the man shares that the drone, called Black Bird, is “faster than the Formula 1 car” and costs around $3000.
This isn’t the first time Biggs, together with his sponsor, Drone Pro Hub, has set a record.
Previously, his drone unofficially achieved the fastest average speed of 585.5 km/h (363.8 mph), surpassing the previous fastest average speed recorded by the Dubai Police.
Its drone reached a speed of 580 km/h (360.3 mph) in November.
Before Briggs, who created the Black Bird drone himself, the world’s fastest drone title belonged to one built by Samuele Gobbi, a Swiss student from the Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture (HEIA-FR).
His drone reached the speed of 557.64km/h (346.50 mph).
