More older Samsung smartwatches will have the latest health, sport, and control features.
Samsung has announced that its One UI 6 Watch update will soon be available for older Galaxy Watch devices.
One UI 6 Watch is based on Wear OS 5, providing users with numerous new features.
The new update will provide health-related insights. One of these is Energy Score, which shows a user’s daily readiness by calculating their sleep, activity, heart rate, and more.
It also provides AI-based health tips and includes an FDA-approved sleep apnea detection.
The company shared that the new update also provides users with sport-related features such as Workout Routine and Race, which monitor and compare users' performance.
The update also features new watch faces. A watch paired with a Galaxy smartphone allows users to control phone calls and alarms, take pictures, and more.
The following Samsung Galaxy smartwatches will get the One UI 6 Watch update:
- Galaxy Watch 6
- Galaxy Watch 6 Classic
- Galaxy Watch 5
- Galaxy Watch 5 Pro
- Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
- Galaxy Watch FE
While the company announced that it is already rolling out the new update, it will first appear on the Galaxy Watch 6. The earlier models should get the update in the upcoming weeks.
The company also said that “feature availability and support may vary by market, carrier, model and paired smartphone.”
