Hey Siri, when will Apple introduce its updated AI assistant?

Apple users will have to wait for a “smarter” Siri.

An updated version of Apple’s Siri should become available in the spring of 2025.

Siri was first introduced in 2011, and since then, it hasn’t undergone any significant changes.

Nevertheless, the new generation of Siri is ready to catch up with a new design, richer language understanding, and the ability to find information through “personal context,” reports Apple.

The virtual assistant will also be able to work throughout all of Apple’s apps.

For example, as per the user’s request, Siri will be able to edit a photo and send it to a friend or a family member. However, such updates won’t be available with the launch of Apple Intelligence, which should roll out in the fall of this year, reports Bloomberg.

Developers should start beta testing the new Siri in January, while the public rollout should begin in Spring with an iOS 18.4 update.

News about Apple Intelligence and the revamped Siri first came out during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference 2024 event.
