I succeeded in bypassing Netflix US, UK, Japan, and Australia regions, Hulu’s US servers, and DAZN Germany geo-blocks using Mozilla VPN but that’s about it. It failed to unblock other regions’ Netflix libraries as well as other streaming services like Max, Disney+, and BBC iPlayer.

Both NordVPN and Mozilla VPN support torrenting but NordVPN has an advantage yet again. To start, you can torrent on all of its servers. However, its dedicated P2P servers are optimized for torrenting and will have no problem handling large transfers of data. This translates to better speeds. Plus, NordVPN also comes with SOCKS5 proxy, which offers faster download speeds.

As for Mozilla VPN, it doesn’t offer much information about its torrenting capabilities and methods. However, since it’s piggybacking off Mullvad’s network, we can deduce that it’s similarly P2P-friendly. To test it, I downloaded a 5.7GB Ubuntu 24 client and it only took me 2 minutes, so it’s fair to say that Mozilla VPN supports torrenting.

It also eliminates the inconvenience of having to disconnect from the VPN when you want to access the internet directly.

Unfortunately, both providers don’t support split tunneling on iOS and Mozilla VPN also does not support it on macOS. Instead, they both support the features only on Windows and Android. Linux users also get split tunneling with Mozilla VPN.

Kill switch
