Sonos is trying new ways to make up for its failing app.
Sonos, the audio manufacturer, is still working to clean up the mess it’s been dealing with since launching its new app.
Now, the company has shared updates regarding the app’s improvements, stating that most of its previously missing features are already up and running, with the rest reappearing in the upcoming weeks.
From the start, Sonos has been tackling the problem with transparency, sharing app-related updates with its users.
The company has also added that it offers a one-year warranty for its home theater and plug-in speaker devices, which are still under guarantee.
Regarding the problems the company has faced with its app, Sonos shared that it will continue to update it every two to four weeks, even after all the issues are settled.
The unsuccessful app release not only made users online angry but also caused the company to delay the launch of its new products.
The whole Sonos app update situation seems to divide people into two camps: those who continue to use Sonos and don’t see a problem with it and those who, even after years of using its devices, are saying goodbye to the company.
“I’m done with this company, despite investing thousands in it. The whole leadership needs to be fired by the Board. How can a company have completely lost its way and competency,” shared one Reddit user.
“It seems less and less likely that they will fix this mess. I really, really regret ever buying any of my eight speakers. I hate you, Sonos,” commented another disappointed Redditor.
Even though the company relies on app updates, one user noticed that it won’t always work: “Restart all speakers. Log in and out of the app. Reinstall the app if needed. This has been my fix through the last few updates. Each update breaks it. But that’s been my fix through last.”
