This plan guarantees unlimited bandwidth and storage, which is why I think it is a great starting point for anyone building a podcast site. On the downside, unlike Wix or SITE123, Squarespace doesn’t have a free plan, but it does offer a 14-day free trial to test the premium plans.

When I created a mockup podcast website with Buzzsprout, I chose one of the 8 podcast templates. I then uploaded an audio file and filled in the required information before publishing. I was particularly surprised by Automatic Episode Optimization and Magic Mastering tools – they made the audio quality much better. However, in terms of SEO and analytics integrations, you only get the very basics.

Buzzsprout has a free plan, but it is limited – your episodes are only hosted for free for 90 days, and there’s a 2h/month limit. So, if you want to build and run a professional podcast website without limitations, premium plans are worth the consideration. $12.00/month, $18.00/month, and $24.00/month plans are limited to 3, 6, and 12 hours of free content per month, so you have to choose the plan according to your content output. That said, I really enjoyed using Podbean AI – I was able to generate shownotes, transcripts, and other useful content without any trouble.
